Marsala Love

Hello sappers, hope you all are having a wonderful week so far. Today's post is dedicated to the color of the year according to Pantone, Marsala. By now I'm pretty sure all of you may know this information, but in case you don't, then here you go.

First of all what is Pantone? Pantone is in their own words: "the world-renowned authority on color and provider of color systems and leading technology for the selection and accurate communication of color across a variety of industries. The PANTONE® name is known worldwide as the standard language for color communication from designer to manufacturer to retailer to customer."

Now that you know what Pantone is, they select a new color of the year every year, last year was "Radiant Orchid" and this year its: Marsala

"A naturally robust and earthy wine red, Marsala enriches our minds, bodies and souls"

The name Marsala actually comes from a wine from the Italian city of Marsala in sicily, this wine is characteristic for its strong, silky, seductive vibes and earthy tones, vased on this among other characteristics the Pantone Organization selected this as the 2015 color of the year.

"Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness."
